Week 4

Hello Families!

I hope you have enjoyed a relaxing weekend with your kiddos!

On Monday a generous family donated the complete works of Roald Dahl to our classroom library! I was not the only one excited- the students were thrilled and each book is currently checked out of our library! What a blessing this was for our classroom.

What's Happening in 4A

  • You are cordially invited to attend our 3rd-5th grade Curriculum Night, taking place on Wednesday, August 28. The event starts at 6:00 pm in the Arete gymnasium, with opening remarks from Mr. Gillingham, Mrs. Vaughan, and our Specialists. From 6:30-7:30 pm, parents will hear from their child's teachers in their classroom. Due to limited seating this is a parent-only event. Overflow parking will be available at The Wedgewood Center located just east of the school.
  • If your child is sick, please keep them home to prevent the spread of infectious disease. As a reminder, a child should be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
  • This Friday, August 30 is Birthday Friday! If your child has an August birthday and you would like to send in treats for the class, please do so on this day.
  • All test and quiz dates are subject to change. They will never be moved earlier than originally  planned, but it is possible that the dates may be pushed back. The information your child brings home in their planner will be the most up to date information.
